Our next Kickstarter campaign starts in one week. The Side of Good/The Side of Evil is a superhero flipbook anthology. To gear up for that we’ve selected the topic of our July flash fiction contest accordingly.
(You can read more about The Side of Good/The Side of Evil here.)
In July 1939 DC Comics released the first variation of The Sandman, aka Wesley Dodds.
(You can read more about The Sandman here.)
There have been many other unrelated Sandmans since then, but in tribute to the original, eSpec Books is giving you 1939 words to show what variations you’ll come up with. Please note, these should NOT be based on any preexisting Sandman property as that would represent copyright violation. Give us something new…something unexpected. Color outside of those lines and be creative.
Entries should be mailed to firstname.lastname@example.org as a .doc, .docx, or .rtf attachment. Please include your name, title, and contact information on your entry. Winning entry will be published on the eSpec Books blog and the winner will receive a free ebook copy of The Side of Good/The Side of Evil. For those of you who are already receiving a copy of that, we will work out some other comparable prize. The contest ends on July 31st.
Please share the details with your friends.
